This beautiful, unique antique piece has a mandolin guitar design done in fine detailing. The mandolin is accented by 4 gold strings and framed in genuine emeralds. The back of the mandolin is accented by floral designs done in yellow and green gold. The back of the mandolin opens to reveal a glass protected piece holding what we believe to be woven hair. Hair keepsake jewelry was very common in the 1800s.
