This great antique fob features finely carved ceramic scarabs attached via a double cable chain design. One side of the ceramic has a detailed scarab or bug design while the other is accented by Egyptian style Hieroglyphs. This piece comes with an information card from retailer, Marshall Field & Company and their Field's Afar antique sales program. It was purchased from them in the 1960s and has a note inscribed with a description of the piece. This piece was made in England circa 1865.
