This lovely antique charm dates from the 1800s and features finely detailed floral work along the body and turquoise bead accenting. The pendant opens to reveal an inner pierced piece to set a sponge or piece of leather with a favorite oil or perfume. This piece comes with an information card from retailer, Marshall Field & Company and their Field's Afar antique sales program. It was purchased from them in the 1960s and has a note from them with detailed information on the piece, including a note that the piece dates from 1790 and was purchased at a London antique fair.
