Engraved Ornate Tea Caddy Lion Unicorn Crest Sterling Silver Aldridge Green 1782

This beautiful antique tea cady is a Charles Adridge & Henry Green piece that dates from 1782. The case is accented by ornate floral detailing as well as an engraved crest of a lion and unicorn representing England and Scotland rescpectively. The case has a hinged top which opens to reveal a hollow inside. This piece appears to at one point have a locking mechanism but this has since been removed. The inside of the lid opens to reveal markers hallmark and London hallmark. The base is also stamped with the same hallmarks as well as two more.
